reporter:martin gutierrez has three dogs. but this black lab isn t one of them. sot- you found a dog in oakley? yeah, i found it in my backyard. reporter:martin says he found the frightened dog, shortly after fireworks hit the sky near his home in oakley monday night. sot- i posted it on facebook and nobody has responded, so i brought it in here because i can t have him at home. reporter:contra costa county animal services in martinez is taking the dog in. along with 32 other stray dogs and 17 cats dropped off here the day after independence day. sot- it is typically our busiest day of the year. reporter:50 animals lost and not yet found. steve burdo with animal services says that s well above the daily average in- take at the shelter of 25 animals. sot- our kennel staff, our medical team, our animal services officers we were ready for this year. reporter:this four-year- old golden chow mix went missing on july 3rd during a pre-fourth of july celebratio
