The oldest living member of the Royal Family, Philip retired from his official duties in 2017. It came after he had spent decades supporting his wife the Queen in her engagements, as well as attending events for his own charities and organisations. He has mostly resided on the family s Sandringham estate in the preceding years, spending his days in the quiet and comfort of the countryside.
