We have people who believe there s a cover-up that s been going on for months. we heard people from city council almost all the council members talking about expressing themselves, people talking about how they ve been profiled, even talking about the fact there s two cities, one on the north and then the rest of the city. they wanted to see equal policing throughout the city of chicago. they want to merge the city. so many people talk about the segregation going on in this city. that s something we heard from city council members, in a very emotional plea made. you see the folks in the crowd here who are now addressing the public and walking along. this has stayeds, as we ve said so far, very peaceful. they just made an announcement, please do not attack the cars. do not attack the cars. you see there a s peacefulness here. ryan young, thank you. rosa flores another of our correspondents ocean. rosa last we were with you were talking with protesters in ....
You had a situation where a young manmade a bunch of bad decisions, you had a police officer that was attacked, and he saved his life. that could have nothing to do with race. but you want it to be about race. ben, let me point to an example. a few weeks ago, we were talking, maybe a month or two ago, we were talking about the gentleman who beheaded someone at work and then said we must call this terrorism. i say, well, it s an isolated bad act. he says you can t look at the individual act, you have to look at the context, other people who have been hurt. you have to invoke all this context. let s do the same thing when it comes to this. when people die on the street at the hands of law enforcement, they re almost always black. and not always, but almost that s not true, statist statistically it s not true. they are disproportionately black. every study shows they are disproportionately black. that is and security forces. that is simply a fact. there are many other facts to l ....
