issue of gun violence, the candidates were clear about where they stood. i met the mother of a 15-year-old girl who was shot by an ar-15. and that mother watched her bleed to death over the course of an hour because so many other people were shot by that ar-15 in odessa in midland, there weren t enough ambulances to get to them in time. hell, yes, we re going to take your ar-15, your ak-47. we re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow americans anymore. i m the only one up here who has ever beat the nra, the only one that beat the nra nationally. i m the guy that brought the brady bill into focus and it became law. nobody has ascended to the white house that will bring more personal passion on this issue. i will fight this and bring a fight to the nra and the corporate gun lobby like they have never seen before. on mitch mcconnell s desk are three bills. universal background checks, closing the charleston loophole and passing my bill to make sure
what it is going to be are going to look to the presidency for leadership. rural americans to voters of faith. people in my part of the country who should be supporting progressive policies but aren t going to. the health care issue was huge in 18. now it seems like we may see the republicans are empty handed and don t have a replacement. the supreme court does that create an opening for compromise? they re left empty handed right now. if you actually take the perspective of how this effects people s lives they couldn t dismantle obamacare openly.
