Fernando Canlas of Yigo has been missing for five days The search for 71-year-old Fernando Canlas has gone on for five days. Canlas was last seen Thursday in Yigo near Pay-Less Supermarket. Guam Fire Department acting spokeswoman Cherika Chargualaf said the Guam Police Department is taking the lead on the search going forward, but GFD will assist when and if requested. Guam Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao confirmed GPD has taken over search as they focus on last known sights and roving designated areas. The National Guard is assisting with the search as well, but in less of an official capacity, according to public affairs officer of the National Guard, Mark Scott.
