do some things and we re going to make some things happen in a hurry now? i think he just decided, peter, that he doesn t have a choice. he wanted to be bipartisan. he really wanted to find some common ground between the parties. he thought he could change the partisan gridlock in washington. and he learned over the last year that he can t. he has been begged by not only members of his own party but the interest groups on the side of the democratic party in this battle, particularly labor, to just go it alone. i think health care vote, more than emboldening the president to just take partisan votes from now on, it really showed his supporters, you know, were able to tell him, look, you know, you finally had to do this just with democrats but you got something done, something big. these republicans, they won t work with you so just roll them. you mentioned his supporters. his opponents this weekend are making major headlines in the western united states. sarah palin campaigning with
conservatives, be they tea party act vigss, grassroots conservatives, to go out and register to vote. that s why we ll prevail in november. edward, what is the number-one thing the democrats should be concerned about, the tea party activists, the enthusiasm, their fund-raising ability to this point? i think it s stealing the issues. i think one of the things the tea party movement has been effective at is to skew issues with respect to what actually independents believe with respect to what obama is doing. i think democrats need to be concerned about there being this idea that somehow this movement within the conservative agenda of the republican party is actually more broad than it is. edward wyckoff, we got it right this time, ron christie, thanks to you guys. appreciate you coming in on sunday. thanks. while tea party activists meant to slam senate majority leader harry reid in searchlight, nevada, there were
