Sent the 3-5 favourite, Pebble Beach asserted himself on the point and coasted clear of his competition to post a 1:50.1 victory in the first of two $40,000 divisions for the Kentucky Championship Two-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Pace on Monday (Aug. 2) at The Red Mile.
Wolftrax gunned for the lead from post 6 while Pebble Beach secured the pocket moving to the first turn, but driver Todd McCarthy soon angled the Downbytheseaside colt off the pegs to a :28.2 first quarter. He circled the Noel Daley trainee to the lead entering the backstretch as River Ness ranged first over to then grab the lead before a :55.4 half. ....

March 15 Jug Payments Due | Standardbred Canada

Sustaining payments for two-year-olds for the 77th edition of the Little Brown Jug, the 52nd Jugette, the 70th Old Oaken Bucket (three-year-old open trot) and the 70th Buckette (three-year-old filly trot) are due March 15. These payments are for foals of 2019 and will be raced in 2022.
Two-year-olds not nominated in the May 15, 2020 yearling payment, may be made eligible through a supplemental nomination fee of $400 due on or before the March 15, 2021 payment. This supplemental payment is in addition to the normal March 15 payment.
Sustaining payments are also due for the 82nd Standardbred two-year-old colt and filly stakes for foals of 2019 to be raced in 2021. ....
