Dec 10, Colombo: Forty-seven (47) tablet computers were distributed to food and drug testing officers of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) under the State Ministry of Drug Production, Supply and Regulation under the patronage of State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana.
The National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) has initiated the process of digitalization of its services under the State Ministry of Drug Manufacturing, Supply and Regulation with the objective of making all the functions and services of the Authority more accessible and efficient to the public.
Under this, the registration of local agents for medicines and medical devices will enable the issuance of drug import licenses to be carried out efficiently and without delay.
