It is a well-known fact that the nefarious activities of bandits have turned Katsina State to a theatre of war considering the audacious fresh attacks they are launching on villages in Faskari, Kankara, Dutsin-Ma, Danmusa, Safana, Batsari, Sabuwa, Dandume, Jibia and Kurfi local government areas of the state.
It is more disturbing that the killings, abduction and other heinous crimes orchestrated by the bandits have become so bad that no part of the state is free from the grip of the hoodlums, whose devilish acts appear to be threatening social and economic activities in the state. Newlyweds, 35 Others Kidnapped By Bandits In Katsina Regain Freedom

The new bride, Farida Sani, narrated how she was kidnapped and her 11-day experience in captivity during an interview with
Channels Television.
She said, “When the bandits attacked our town about two weeks ago, they met me inside my bedroom.
“Upon their arrival, they first burgled my apartment and took me away with my husband. ”
” During our stay, they were beating my husband and his male counterparts, but they did not touch me. The place where they kept us was not a room but an open space filled with grasses,” the victim added.

Another batch of 37 kidnap victims in Katsina state rescued from bandits was on Friday night handed over to the state government.
The victims were mainly women and children.
They were abducted in the last two weeks from various communities in the state including Unguwar Malamai under Yantumaki District of Danmusa Local Government Area and Babban Duhu village in Safana Local Government Area of the state.
One of the victims who identified herself as Farida Sani revealed that she was abducted at Runka town in Safana Local Government Area of the state, nine days after her marriage. ....
