In anticipation of MLB s 2021 Opening Day, the team at Flourish, a popular data visualization tool, used Google Trends data to put together an interactive map showing which major league baseball team every county in the U.S. searched for the most. Here s where those facts kick in. According to the map, the New York Yankees came out on top in every county in the Capital Region with only one exception Columbia County where the New York Mets were the most searched. In fact, the Yankees were the most searched MLB team in every New York county north of New York City with only two exceptions.
