Several church workers involved in the social justice and human rights ministries in the Philippines have been subjected to vilification and “red-tagging” under the Duterte government. The World Council of Churches has called on the United Nations Human Rights Council and the Philippine government to end human rights violations against church workers.

Giving aid to the poor is authentic witnessing to the Christian faith but church workers who dare to ask why many people are mired in poverty face the danger of being called a communist.  ....

Yamaha NMax 125 vs Suzuki Burgman Street: Specification Comparison

Yamaha NMax 125 vs Suzuki Burgman Street: Specification Comparison
Does Yamaha’s maxi-scooter have what it takes to threaten the Burgman’s dominance?
The 2021 Yamaha NMax 125 debuted in Japan last week. The scooter comes with a bunch of updates, which got us thinking if it would fare well if launched in India. If and when it comes here, the maxi-scooter will go up against the Suzuki Burgman Street, the maxi-styled scooter that revived the segment. Here’s how the two Japanese scooters would compare:

124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve engine

Yamaha NMax 125 Set To Launch In Japan; Does This Make More Sense For India?

The last bit is somewhat a gimmick as you really do not need traction control for a puny 125cc mill that makes only 12PS and 11Nm.
Nevertheless, Yamaha has managed to keep the essence of the maxi-scooter format intact on the NMax 125. It gets a large body, comfy ergos, loads of underseat storage space, and plush ride quality.
Yamaha India seems to be taking things really slow with the NMax 155, in fact, plans for its launch were thwarted long before COVID-19 even came into the picture. Will the Japanese bikemaker build an Indian-ised version of the same, just like it has done with the FZ-X? Would you like to see a NMax 125 with the motor from the Ray ZR125? Let us know on our social media channels. ....
