(KAIT) - Walnut Ridge Middle School students spent Tuesday delivering kindness to their community. As part of the Be Kind Program, teachers and students participated in fundraisers and events, raising more than $1,000 for first responders in the community. On Tuesday, they delivered 37 goody baskets to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, nursing homes, police and fire departments, grocery stores, and local businesses. “We just packed those baskets with lots of goodies that they could enjoy while they were sitting and doing their jobs,” said Rebecca Bullard, seventh grade math teacher. “The response was overwhelming, people were very excited to see us, and hopefully our goal is to spread kindness and that this will continue on ....
