　　记者到南新小学时刚好是课间，孩子们正在操场上玩游戏，阵阵笑声打破了假期校园的宁静。忽然有个孩子喊了声“上课啦”，接着一个传一个，跑得最远的孩子也听到了课堂的召唤，跑进了教室。
　　就这样，暑托班没有上下课铃声，但课堂纪律依然如故。暑托班并不教语数外课本知识，吉阳区教育局委托第三方机构招募了大量大学生志愿者、“候鸟”老人、科研院所的科技人员，组建起阵容强大的辅导员队伍，开设形式多样的文体、科普类课程或讲座。
　　市民连连称赞这个免费暑托班是“实打实的福利”。“孩子在学校能学知识还安全，比放在家里更让我放心，大大减轻了我的负担。”月川小学一年级学生李拉的母亲杜鹃说，公益暑托班妥善解决了家长们的暑期烦恼。
