Written by Chance Bond on April 29, 2021 The Worland Lady Warriors lost to the number 2 ranked Girl’s Soccer team in Wyoming 3A Lander Valley Lady Tigers. 3-2 on Tuesday. With two penalty kick goals from Carley Yule. They weren’t enough to get the win. Worland had 26 shots on goal compared to the Lady Tiger’s 16. The Lady Warriors travel to the Bridger Valley this weekend. The will play Lyman on Friday at 4PM and Mountain View Saturday at 10AM. ....
Written by Chance Bond on April 26, 2021 The Lady Warriors Girl’s Softball team was in Cody Thursday. The Cody Fillies are one of two undefeated teams in Wyoming Girl’s Softball. Kelly Walsh being the other. Worland was 1-2 coming into the game Thursday against Cody. The Lady Warriors would come out with a 4 to 1 lead heading into the bottom of the 2nd inning. Cody scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning and would never look back. Worland starting Senior Pitcher Brooklynn Hellyer got a rocket hit back at her and would hit her directly in the face mask. ....
73 yr old Greybull Resident Dies in Fatal Worland Car Crash Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 22, 2021 Excessive speed on a snow-covered Worland road contributed to Monday’s fatal crash which took the life of a Greybull resident who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. On April 19, 2021, a vehicle crash occurred around milepost 173 on US Highway 20 north of Worland, Wyoming. At 10:25 a.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were notified of a motor vehicle collision. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol’s report, a 2001 Buick LeSabre was headed north on US Highway 20. The road was covered with slush with snow blowing across the highway. ....
Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 13, 2021 Wyoming is hitting another wall of winter this week, with snow and wind expected everywhere, with the Bighorn Basin expected to feel some of the chill. Tim Troutman with the National Weather Service Riverton Office has released a video laying out the scope of the week’s winter storm potential. Wyoming is due for another snowy, slushy week in town and on the highways. There is a Winter Weather Watch in effect for the Eastern Range, Wind River Mountains, and areas in and around Lander until Thursday evening. As much as eight to fourteen inches of snow could fall, starting early Wednesday morning. ....
