440 food parcels for people in need in West Cumbria

More than 400 food hampers have been distributed to people in need across the Workington area over the last three days.
Members of Workington Rotary prepared 440 bags and several gift vouchers at Moorclose Community Centre to be given out in time for Christmas.
Alan Barry, club president, said: “I would like to thank Hughie Stamper, Tony Wareing and the team for a job well done. It looked a logistical nightmare, but Hughie as normal made it all look so easy.
We would also like to give a huge thank you to all of the partner groups involved in this enterprise.” ....
