An indigenous brazilian activist who campaigned to protect the rainforest has been shot dead in what appears to have been a targeted killing. Paulo gua ja jara had recently told journalists that he was scared about the situation in his reserve, where illegal loggers and miners were operating. Indigenous groups have accused brazils far right government of failing to protect them. Bill hayton reports.
