Fashion retailer, BrandCo Nigeria has acquired the rights to sell the Adidas brand in Lagos and Abuja. The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Wonuola Okoye revealed that they’d continue to liaise with local and international brands within the athleisure genre over the next couple of months. x She said the company had its original flagship brand as Skechers, then Havaianas and now, Adidas. “Essentially, we are the go-to for athleisure and for sports, products, footwear and apparel. So far, we have 14 stores across West Africa including the ones we just launched. We plan to scale across Africa and have started looking into countries like Senegal, Cameroon and so on. Right now, we are very excited about Adidas because it is the third largest revenue generating sports business in the world, second to Skechers. That means two of the top three sports brands in the world are in our possession, as we are the franchise owners for these ....
