Kansas diver Shiyun Lai capped off a stellar freshman season for the Jayhawks after receiving Honorable Mention All-American honors in both the one and three-meter diving events at the 2024 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Kansas swimming and diving team competed in the first day of the 2024 Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championships in Morgantown, West Virginia on Tuesday at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park.
For the third time this season, Kansas freshman Shiyun Lai has been selected as the Big 12 Diver of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. Lai earned the award after winning both the one-meter and three-meter diving events in Kansas' win at Iowa State Feb. 9-10.
Friday marked the start of the Kansas Women's Swimming and Diving team's two-day dual meet against Iowa State, representing the first day of competition with a 102.5-62.5 lead over their conference foes inside of Beyer Pool.
The Kansas Women's Swimming and Diving team closed out their regular season on Saturday with a 186.5-126.5 win over Big 12 Conference foe Iowa State, cumulating five first-place finishes in the dual meet at Beyer Pool.
