WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Beatrice Giacco Kowalski, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore J. Kowalski, her life-long love and companion.
She was born in Meriden, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria Giacco.
Bea was, first and foremost, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, always positive and supportive to all who had the joy of her love and friendship. Bea was devoted to her family, her community, and her country. She was, like many of her generation, multi-talented, strong, accomplished, and a trailblazer. ....

(EAST ORANGE/ORANGE, NJ) - On this last day of Women’s History Month, before the clock strikes 12 midnight, TAPinto wanted to pause from all the Coronavirus news and take the time to highlight women in our communities making a difference.
In honor of the many s-heroes, we have created our second annual “East Orange and Orange 100 Women of Power and Progress” list.
The criteria used to select each woman was as follows: 1. The woman must be a resident of or work in East Orange or Orange. 2. She must use her life and platforms by way of career, volunteerism, social media, etc. to promote positivity, unity, and the uplifting of other women within one of the two municipalities and beyond. ....

Marinda Monfilston from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion brings a Yale Veterans Network toy donation to the collection site.
In a year in which many routines were disrupted by COVID-19, Yale affiliates across the campus have kept up annual traditions of spreading holiday cheer by donating toys, clothing, and other essentials to those in need.
Campus affinity groups have worked with the Yale Police department, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Faculty Research Management Services, and other departments to collect or purchase new toys as part of the “Adopt a Family for the Holidays” drive and the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots drive. ....

Wendy confirmed her mother s death on Monday morning s episode of her self-titled program, and said that Shirley died beautifully and peacefully and surrounded by love. She didn t suffer, thank God.
