Scottish election 2021: Lib Dems target SNP with dossier of 'broken promises'

Claims of broken promises by the SNP have become a key campaign tool for the Scottish Liberal Democrats.
Activists in Edinburgh launched the party s doorstep dossier in a bid to win over disenchanted SNP voters.
Party leader Willie Rennie said they were highlighting the SNP s negative track-record after 14 years in power.
The SNP accused the Lib Dems of hypocrisy, having previously joined a coalition with the Conservatives at Westminster.
The Scottish Liberal Democrats are hoping to stop the SNP gaining an overall majority in the Holyrood election on 6 May and want the parliament to put economic recovery first. ....

WOMEN’S Enterprise Scotland has partnered with First Sentier Investors to deliver a pilot business guidance programme for businesswomen in Scotland.
The six-month
Skills Alliance programme is designed to provide tailored support for a cohort of women running businesses in Scotland, matching these women with experienced business guides from First Sentier Investors so that they can benefit from ongoing support.
Businesswomen who signed up to the Women’s Business Centre digital platform were eligible to apply and a cohort of 13 have been selected, based throughout Scotland and running a wide variety of businesses. ....

WOMEN’S Enterprise Scotland has welcomed an election commitment to invest £50m in the creation of a Women’s Business Centre.
The commitment, announced last week by Finance Secretary, Kate Forbes MSP, comes just four weeks after Women’s Enterprise Scotland launched its 2021
Manifesto for Change, focusing on the critical importance of developing and supporting women’s enterprise as part of Scotland’s future economic prosperity.
The WES manifesto focuses on five priority areas for positive change, including the call for a National Women’s Business Centre in Scotland. ....

WOMEN’S Enterprise Scotland is today (1 March) launching its 2021
Manifesto for Change, focusing on the critical importance of developing and supporting women’s enterprise as part of Scotland’s future economic prosperity.
The launch of the manifesto, which focuses on five priority areas for positive change, comes in the run-up to International Women’s Day on 8
th March.
It calls on the next Scottish Government to make key commitments in supporting women’s, including enabling greater access to finance and ensuring business support services are more aware of women’s needs. ....
