Medford businesses continue Parklet Program after state reopening - KOBI-TV NBC5 / KOTI-TV NBC2


The city of Medford’s Parklet Program turns parking spaces into outdoor seating for restaurants.
Medford’s Beerworks says their parklets are sticking around.
“We really want to keep it around for as long as possible, a lot of customers really want us to keep it around for as long as possible too because we have a lot of outdoor sitters, and it’s great,” said Amanda Malone, Beerworks employee.
According to the city’s website, it’s working on drafting regulations that would make these parklets a semi-permanent addition downtown.

City of Seaside announces update to daily operations


With Governor Brown’s Tuesday, Dec. 15, announcement that Clatsop County will move into the state’s ‘Extreme Risk’ category of COVID-19 on Friday, Dec.18, the City of Seaside has several operational changes it will impose beginning the same day.
All city buildings will continue to be fully staffed, but access to staff and city services will largely be limited to phone calls or pre-scheduled appointments. Additionally, city offices will be closed to all operations on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 as official holidays. Pending guideline updates from the Governor’s Office and Oregon Health Authority, our hope is that building operations can begin reopening the week of Jan. 4, 2021. Updates will be made when appropriate. ....
