Two, a senate bill that won t fix the problem and people call it immigration reform when it s nothing but a big amnesty program and three we have chaos on southern borders that the administration lost complete control of. they sent children and parents and others around the country to these locations to try to disguise the problem but we know most people will not get deported. the whole system is broken down. what about the fact if doesn t come up with a plan, the president will use executive orders. is that better? i think the american people need to hear the truth and reality is the government has simply lost control of immigration in its entirety. a collapse of credibility of the entire system. obviously congress doesn t want to admit it. they don t want to tell the american people they can pass laws and the president will ignore them. the president said i can ignore laws and make them up as i go along because nobody ought to go home. i have to get francisco back in here. ....
Opportunity to prove they can do it. ed: is there issue beyond obamacare and health care law though? because republicans for five years have been challenging the president s credibility. my question is more, is it immigration reform? does speaker boehner have to bring that up? i don t think he should touch immigration reform with a 10-foot pole. ed: what about the president s budget then? he is pulling back on social security cuts. can republicans go after him, you talked about entitlement reform. talked about social security crisis, medicare crisis and you re not doing enough. small ed. too small. ed: what are they growing to do? they really need to get on the same page. the one problem with obamacare even though they attacked president they were all on different pages. one was saying defund it. one was saying delay it. the party is fractured. no one has risen as a leader. they have to get on the same page and make it about the economy broader. they have not been able to do that ....

You need to vote them out for that to change. so we ll have to wait until 2014 and after that in the last year or so of his administration. bob, you know, what can he do? what is he likely to do to turn the temperature around? is it immigration reform? other issues? well, immigration reform will be a big get for the administration if it s possible. i still think that that s very difficult in the house of representatives because the democrats want an immigration reform policy that provides a path to citizenship and the right-wingers in the house don t want that. what could he get? i think that it s going to be well, the democrats say they won t pass they won t agree to a bill that does not include a path to citizenship. so no piecemeal is what you re saying. i d be surprised if immigration reform passed. the thing that obama has to worry about is very soon he s going to be literally a lame duck. the clock is ticking and time is running out. and there s been so much ....
Potential political implications. ron brownstein wrote a column for the national journal that says the tough rollout of the affordable care act could affect democratic priorities for years to come. do you think that s fair or is that an exaggeration? look, this is the president s biggest legislative accomplishment, his signature piece of legislation, the biggest thing he has done, that most presidents have done is trying to reform health care. presidents have been trying to do this for a long time. the fact he finally got a bill he wanted, the implementation has been years in the making. if the administration cannot pull something like this off, you have to wonder whether the american people and more specifically congress are going to give them the keys to pursue other legislative goals be it immigration reform or anything else that might be kind of more difficult to plept. i think you know, we always talk about a second term president being a lame duck. that s true following a reall ....
