Jan 29, 2021 MAKING PROGRESS These volunteers were among a group of 12 who spent a few hours Jan. 23 at Beatty Park, cleaning the entire length of the old pool that was filled in years ago of weeds, dumped wet trees and wood limbs and pieces, stones and rocks, according to Flora VerStraten-Merrin, organizer of the Friends of Beatty Park revitalizing group. Contributed STEUBENVILLE Work days continue to be held at Beatty Park in Steubenville’s South End with the next one scheduled for Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. All volunteers are welcome to meet at the site of the old (original) pool, according to Flora VerStraten-Merrin, organizer of the Friends of Beatty Park revitalizing group. ....
