For this week’s library column, I thought I’d have fun with random holidays again. So, this week, specifically on February 26, you can celebrate Tell a Fairy Tale Day and I’ve got several suggestions for how you can observe this quirky, unofficial holiday. 
But before I get into how to celebrate this holiday, I think I should at least briefly talk about what a fairy tale is. For instance, Merriam-Webster defines a fairy tale as “a story involving fantastic forces and beings (such as fairies, wizards, and goblins)” or as “a story in which improbable events lead to a happy ending.” Many of us grew up watching classic Disney versions of well-loved fairy tales such as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, the Little Mermaid, and Cinderella.
