“I can get 1,500 doses if you can find a way to get people here or we can work something else out,” a pharmacist at Costco in Livonia told Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens.
“We are ready and able to handle 7,000 doses a day. On a good day, we do 2,500,” said another at the vaccination clinic at Ford Field. ....

Local volunteers help residents find COVID vaccine appointments

A group of volunteers has launched an effort to help Windsor-Essex residents find available appointments for a COVID-19 vaccine.
WindsorVax Finders had more than 1,000 visits to its website Wednesday.

“It’s been an incredible launch,” organizer Noah Gascon said Thursday. “It’ been an overwhelming response from the community.”
A 17-year-old Grade 12 student at St. Anne, Gascon has assembled a team of 30 volunteers that scour online booking sights for open appointments.
One team connects with regional pharmacies, one concentrates on the mass vaccination clinics and a third takes the information and disseminates in on social media. ....
