David Galindo
Santa Elena Town resident David Galindo is now in stable condition at the Western Regional Hospital after being shot. Galindo, a resident on Perez Street, was approached by a dark complexion man who shot him sometime around 8:00 a.m on Sunday March 7. The 36-year-old sustained injures to the chest, abdomen, and hand.
David Galindo was rushed to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and then to the Western Regional Hospital.
Police believe that this latest incident is connected to an ongoing dispute that the Galindo’s have had since the last two years with another group.
David Galindo and his sibling Minor Galindo were charged in connection to the double murder of Windell Trap and Samuel Hill at CK Bar last July. The third brother Jorge Galindo was charged for the murder of Nelson Flores. In September 2019, their mother Mirna Young–a mother of six children–was fatally shot inside her yard on Perez Street.
