Learned cole had somehow gotten hold of a loaded gun at the babysitters house and fatally shot himself. The babysitters fiance is a Stafford County sheriffs deputy in training. The orange countys Sheriffs Office is investigating the incident. They say the gun that killed cole was not a service revolver, but the deputy wasnt at home at the time of the incident. As the Investigation Continues coles parents have a warning for anyone who drops their child off at a home daycare. Basically tell them your weapons are nowhere that any of the kids can reach. If you have a weapon, gun safety, its something they teach for any person that gets a weapon. You keep it secure. The bizarre story emerges. According to multiple sources, the driver of the striking vehicle, the red range rover, say the man he hit assaulted his daughter last night. Then this morning in upper marlboro, he and his daughter spot the man riding with his mother in another vehicle. They follow. They call police. And then there is a confrontation in this parking lot. The father claiming he struck the younger man in selfdefense after spotting that assault weapon which later was clearly visible in a Police Officers hands. This witness arrived just as the dead mans mother realized what happened. He just kept saying, thats my son, thats my son. I hope hes not dead. God i hope hes not dead. The driver claims he and his daughter spotted the man who assaulted her last night riding in a car with his mother this morning. So they followed them while calling police.
