(Willmar MN-) People are invited to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021 at the Willmar Civic Center Thursday night. A New Year’s Eve Fireworks show, brought to the community by Turbo Turf Irrigation, Marcus Construction and West Central Steel, will be held starting at 7:00 pm. Jenny Holweger of the Kandiyohi County YMCA says the event is free to the public, but a donation to the Save Our Y Campaign is suggested, and donations will be matched by the sponsors.

.Two local sponsors will match up to $4500 worth of donations. Volunteers will be on hand to help with parking and to collect donations. Parking will begin at 5:30 pm. Holweger says the event is held under State of Minnesota COVID-19 precautions. Cars will be parked six feet apart and all attendees are asked to remain in their car. ....
