Today, we will be looking at cold war berlin. After world war ii ended, germany was divided. Between the victors. Thats the united states, france, United Kingdom and the oviet union. Soviet union occupied the east and the other three countries, the west. And that included the capital city of berlin which was also divided into four sectors, one for each of the victors, again with the soviets occupying the eastern zone of berlin and the three western powers occupying the western zone.
