Four Newport Mansions properties will be open Memorial Day weekend

NEWPORT For the first time since the pandemic began, the Preservation Society of Newport County will have four of its properties opened this weekend. The reopening of Marble House and the gardens and grounds of The Elms is scheduled for Friday, the start of Memorial Day weekend.
The Breakers mansion and Green Animals Topiary Garden in Portsmouth are already open daily.
Beginning June 19, The Elms mansion will be reopened for visitors.

TORONTO We’re almost 20 per cent through the shortened NHL season and tryouts are still ongoing for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Nic Petan will dress for Thursday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks, becoming the 18th different forward to play for the Leafs already. He bypassed the taxi squad entirely by getting recalled from the American Hockey League earlier this week and will be slotted on the revolving fourth line with Jason Spezza and Travis Boyd.
