In the 150year history of the cable cars, johnson is only the second woman and the second woman of color to work the grip. Willa its a hard job. Its even a hard job for a man. Joe johnsons journey to the stick also wasnt easy. She left another division in the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency to work the cable cars
