Police: Mount Airy shooting suspect shot woman through her door
The man arrested Tuesday after a SWAT standoff in Mount Airy is accused of shooting through a woman s apartment door striking her.
William Satterfield, 36, is charged with felonious assault, inducing panic and possessing a handgun as a convicted felon.
Court documents state Satterfield fired two rounds from a Hi-Point .45 caliber handgun during a confrontation at a Hawaiian Terrace apartment complex. One of the rounds passed through the victim s door striking her in the side, Cincinnati police said.
The woman was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was listed in stable condition Tuesday afternoon, Lt. Steve Saunders said.
