In Holyoke mayoral race, unannounced candidate William ‘Billy’ Glidden leads in early fundraising

HOLYOKE William “Billy” J. Glidden hasn’t formally announced that he’s running for mayor but his early fundraising receipts bear the hallmarks of a campaign that’s full steam ahead.
A close friend and former aide to Mayor Alex B. Morse, Glidden formed what he describes as exploratory committee in early February. Since recording his first donation on Feb. 5, he’s raised over $13,000 in individual contributions outpacing two candidates that made formal announcements earlier this year, according to a review of filings with the state’s Office of Campaign and Political Finance. ....
