Drawing from the Tampa Bay areaâs business community, the Florida Board of Governors on Wednesday recommended Shilen Patel and Melissa Seixas for soon-to-be open spots on the University of South Floridaâs board of trustees.
Patel is the CEO of the HealthAxis Group, an IT solutions provider for health care organizations and providers. According to his HealthAxis biography, he is chairman of the Community Enrichment Lab, a nonprofit supporting entrepreneurial activity in the USF area, and of TiE Tampa Bay Angel Fund, which supports start-ups and promotes âawareness of angel investingâ in the area.
