The snow starts to small. Lets turn to meteorologist, david murphy and karen rogers. Good morning. You can see additional precipitation swinging up from the south. Most of this is rain but it will change over to snow the farther north and west you go and right there is what came through overnight. Boom. You see it started out as rain and then changed over to a little light snowily all we got out of that in most neighborhoods was maybe a coating to a half inch. Not a lot on the ground this morning. We have temperatures around the freezing mark from millville up to the 95 corridor and points north so if youre dealing with unpaved surfaces like sidewalks driveways maybe some side streets yeah there could be a little bit of a slippery sheen on those and you want to be careful. Anything that was pretreated im pretty certain took this fine and that counts for most of your main roads. There is still winter storm advisory in all these counties highlighted in purple. Its a little wet snow mixing with rain down in Cumberland County new jersey, parts of cape may and Atlantic County and also in parts of kent county delaware. Everywhere elsewhere its a little bit cooler we are looking at snow but again its light and pretreated road surfaces should be for the most part okay. Id be a little careful on sidewalks and some of those secondary roads there might not have gotten the brine. There you see what happened overnight. Just a sweep of snow coming through, not a lot. There is more gathering to the south and we are still looking at sort of choppy off and on light snow shower. Temperatures are down close to or below freezing from about the i95 Corridor North even down into parts of south jersey and millville were close to freezing at 33. So if youre driving around on some of those secondary roads, side roads or just Walking Around on sidewalks up in these areas you might wand to be careful just in case there are some slick spots. Coating, maybe a couple of you with closer to a quarter to a half inch and most road surfaces that were pretreated overnight have done fine. I will tell that you some sidewalks could give you a problem and weve got a concrete terrace out here that has a little bit of air flow beneath it but it is definitely frozen up. I just about did a face planter out here a seconds ago. Be careful under foot and some of those untreated surfaces. Theres another round of snow showers beginning to build up through southern New Castle County Delaware Crossing into salem and Cumberland County. Farther south you can see how its mixing with a little rain and Lancaster County about to pick up some of that as well so there is more snow shower activity on the way. Again the first batch that came through was real light but looks like this next one might be a little bit more robust.
