(Orange)- The Orange County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the Wilderness Crossing rezoning tonight beginning at 5 at the Orange County Public Safety Building. The Planning Commission voted to approve the project. It would require rezoning more than 2,600 acres on the eastern end of the county from a combination of agricultural, industrial, residential and commercial zones to Planned Development – Mixed Use. If approved, Wilderness Crossing would be the largest development of its kind in Orange County history.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Nebraska said the lawsuit was dismissed against the Indian Center, Inc. and other community members on Wednesday.
Last month, the city filed a lawsuit against the Indian Center, saying the group was trying to overturn legislative actions made by the city council and the mayor.
