Indias Biggest Bank Frauds: Mehul Choksi, a fugitive diamantaire, is at the top of the list of Indias worst willful defaulters after defaulting on loans totaling Rs 7,848 crore.
The family of Choksi had claimed that he was in Antigua till 5 pm on May 23 which makes it impossible to cover a 120-mile distance in four to five hours, which approximately takes about 12-13 hours.
Choksi, who is wanted in India by the CBI and the ED in connection with the PNB fraud case, had gone missing on May 23 from Antigua sparking a massive manhunt.
