A Whitworth window and door fitter has refused to take payment after replacing two windows at The Lighthouse Community Foodshare.
After the glazing in the windows had failed, Daniel Spilling, of The Window & Door Outlet, stepped forward and replaced both the windows free of charge.
Daniel, who started the business around two years ago, said: “I know what’s it like, growing up and not having food on the table. I relied on friends and relatives to help me out from time to time, so I thought I’d do what I thought was right and help them.
