WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden s first Sunday as president began with Mass and sesame bagels with cream cheese.
It was the unscheduled visit to Call Your Mother that made national headlines: Biden s stop at the local deli once co-owned by Jeff Zients, the administration s point man on the coronavirus response, sparked a debate with the controversial decision to order fresh bagels toasted. (Yes, a schmear campaign.) Biden didn t get out of the car but waved to the gathered crowd who excitedly shared the sighting on social media.
