First responders honored for saving life in Marcy

MARCY, N.Y. On Tuesday, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttonschon, D-119, recognized dozens of first responders at Maynard Fire Department for saving the life of a 27-year-old woman threatening to jump off a bridge on State Route 291 above the Barge Canal this past May.
The nine emergency agencies that responded to the Oneida 911 call were Kunkel Ambulance, Oneida County Sheriff s Office, New York State Police, Maynard Fire Department, Whitesboro Fire Department, Whitesboro Police Department, Oriskany Fire Department, New York Mills Police Department, and Yorkville Police Department. ....
