As the counting of votes is underway for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2021, early trends show that the DMK has an edge over the ruling AIADMK. DMK chief MK Stalin is leading from Kolathur. While Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) s actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan is leading from Coimbatore South.
Early trends show it is an advantage for the DMK in the state as Udhayanidhi Stalin is leading against PMK s AVA Kassali in Chepauk and his father MK Stalin in Kolathur. However, as the second round of counting votes ended, MNM chief Kamal Hassan trails at Coimbatore South constituency while Congress Mayur Jayakumar leads. But, the actor-turned-politician is yet again in an advantageous position.
