TAMPA — A Tampa police officer shot a man who raised a gun toward him as he was responding to a call at an apartment complex Monday night, police said.
The shooting happened at the Bowery Bayside Apartments, 6401 S Westshore Blvd. Officers responded about 9:40 p.m. to a call about a man, later identified as 28-year-old Jeremy D. Liwag, banging on apartment doors while holding something behind his back and “yelling incoherently,” according to a Tampa police news release. ....
