(WAOW) Summer is right around the corner, and that means seasonal activities are now opening. So when can you plan to take your family to area pools? Keep track with the running list here. Most pools have some COVID-19 related restrictions in place, but they re subject to change throughout the season as state and national guidelines change. MARSHFIELD Marshfield s new aquatic center, Vandehey Waters Aquatic Center, is expected to open in July. It is being built at the same location as Hefko Pool. There is not an exact date yet, but a brochure from Marshfield estimates early July. MERRILL The Bierman Family Aquatic Center opens on May 28 and is open daily thereafter from 12-7 pm. ....
Weston Village Board Votes to Open Aquatic Center This Summer By Mike Leischner Feb 15, 2021 9:45 PM WESTON, WI (WSAU) â As the region struggles to the finish line of the latest cold snap, village leaders in Weston were already making plans for the 2021 outdoor pool season. On Monday the Board of Trustees voted unanimously to instruct Parks and Recreation director Shawn Osterbring to begin planning for the new season, despite uncertainty over what will or wonât be allowed this summer as COVID-19 vaccines continue to roll out. âWe will provide a safe environment to swim in and go to with your families and friends and enjoy yourself,â said Osterbrink. ....
