Man in stable condition after bring shot in Westwood

A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Westwood Friday night. The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. on the 1600 block of Westchester Street in Westwood.Before arriving on scene, police were notified about a vehicle leaving the area and located a dark sedan shortly after in Manchester. When police pulled the vehicle over, the driver alerted them of a passenger with gunshot wounds to the leg.Tourniquets were applied to the victim s leg until medics arrived. The man is in stable condition.No arrests have been announced.

Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting that wounded a male victim Friday night in the city’s Westwood neighborhood.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds to his leg, according to a Public Safety spokesman.
The sound of shots in the 1600 block of Westchester Street was reported to 911 shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Based on a description of a car seen leaving the scene, police pulled over a dark-colored sedan a short time later at Brighton Road and Western Avenue in Manchester. ....
