GRANTS worth a total of £9,500 have been awarded to 13 of the 18 organisations that applied for financial support from Trowbridge Town Council. The council s policy and resources committee decided to award grants to all but five of the organisations that applied for help. The 18 applications received before September 30 had made requests totalling £19,568 from the council s 2020-21 budget with only £9,500 available to spend. Grant cheques were issued following approval at the council’s meeting on Tuesday January 5. Recipient organisations have been asked to provide a short acknowledgement for inclusion in the annual town meeting in April. ....
