okay. we re also seeing a bit north of you there, west port washington, those beaches have been closed down as well, guad. again, we can t stress enough, this goes all the way from the southern california border there with mexico down below san diego all the way up through british columbia, the canadian coast into alaska, of course. it s really quite extraordinary. we re looking at dense fog as well, which only complicates things. but when you think about i know you ve covered hurricanes. i ve watched you cover and others hurricanes, and you see people i call them the looky-loos for lack of a better phrase. they say, oh, we want to get out there. we want to take pictures, we want to go out on the sand, we want to see how far we might be able to go out into the water and those surfers, ha is so ill-advised right now, even if things look calm at the moment. correct. so a lot of these beaches, especially in california, do receive lots of tourists, so many times the famous beaches ....

Waves reaching hawaii. let s take a look at this remarkable satellite video. it s capturing the very moment of eruption. you see it right there. it happened deep under the ocean there. let s go to nbc s guad vinnegas. what s the latest from your vantage point there? wow, impressive images of that volcano erupting. some of the residents of tonga reported hearing the eruption. they also saw ash go into the sky. the flooding that we saw in tonga made its way to the capital. some people had to flee to higher ground. the king had to be evacuated. that happening in tonga, and then of course this tsunami warning from the national tsunami warning center issued for the entire west coast. we re talking california, washington, oregon, even british columbia. so the warning says that these beach cities could expect one to two-foot waves which are not huge, but they can be dangerous, especially because of the currents that they can cause. so they are advising residents ....
