COVID-19 outbreak at Yorkton Health Centre slowing down

The COVID-19 outbreak at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, appears to be slowing down.
Janna-Lea Yawney is the Interim Director of Acute Care for the Yorkton area, and says there are 97 cases connected to the outbreak, slightly up from 90 last week.
“14 of those are patients, 45 are secondary cases, 32 are staff, and 6 are visitors,” said Yawney.
Yawney says the two suspected outbreaks at the 2nd West Obstetrics and 2nd South Pediatric and Medicine Units have been lifted, since no additional cases have been linked to those areas.
She also says the declared outbreaks in the 1st East and West Medical Units and the Intensive Care Unit continue to show no further transmission of COVID-19. ....

Healthcare Staff at Yorkton Regional Health Centre Continue to Battle COVID-19 Outbreak

The ongoing COVID-19 outbreak at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre has seen a rise in total cases to 84, up from 47 last week.
Of those, 14 are patients, including 4 in ICU, 31 are healthcare staff, 6 visitors and 33 secondary cases, meaning someone connected to a family member or transmission inside the facility.
Janna-Lea Yawney is the Interim Director of Acute Care for the Yorkton area. She says the outbreaks remain in the same areas: 1st East and 1st West Medical Units as well as the Intensive Care Unit, while the 2nd West Obstetrics Unit and 2nd South Medicine and Pediatrics Unit are still considered suspected outbreaks. ....

Yorkton Regional Health Centre experiencing multiple COVID-19 outbreaks

The Yorkton Regional Health Centre is dealing with active COVID-19 outbreaks.
Janna-Lea Yawney is the Interim Director of Acute Care for the Yorkton area. She says to date, a total of 47 cases are connected to three outbreaks in two units of the hospital, the 1st East and 1st West Medical Units as well as the Intensive Care Unit. The ICU outbreak was declared on January 17 while the outbreaks at the medical units were declared on January 19.
She adds there are two suspected outbreaks at the 2nd West Obstetrics Unit and 2nd South Medicine and Pediatrics Unit.
Among the cases, 21 are healthcare workers and 7 patients, including one patient in ICU. ....
