Lantana Police Vandalism: Though it’s doubtful she had the skill of a Jackson Pollock, a woman left her own expressionist movement on a wall surrounding a property in the 200 block of North Oak Street. With feces as her medium, the woman, who would later claim she was having stomach issues, defecated on the wall multiple times. She had been spotted by a resident, who snapped a picture of the performance. That photo and a description of the perpetrator aided police in finding her. The woman was given cleaning supplies and tried to remove the stains, but they would not come off. ....
Palm Beach Post Lantana Police Aggravated assault: A disagreement between two coworkers at a business in the 600 block of Whitney Avenue went from verbal to physical to nearly homicidal very quickly. The fight first crossed the verbal/physical threshold when one of the men punched the other. Not satisfied with one punch, the assailant then grabbed a box cutter and began chasing his victim around the business. Luckily for all parties, the manager stepped in and was able to get the box cutter from the man. Though being escorted out of the building by the manager, the man’s temper was still raging and he decided it was hammer time. Literally. He grabbed a sledgehammer and attempted to go after his victim one more time. The manager was able to get the sledgehammer away and get the man off the premises. Despite being punched, nearly sliced and almost hammered, the victim declined prosecution. ....
Palm Beach Post West Palm Beach Police Burglary: Sitting in the living room of their home in the 700 block of Flamingo Drive, a couple was startled when they heard a loud noise coming from the garage. Immediately after, the man and woman said they looked out and saw an individual strolling across their front yard. They did not pursue the perpetrator. After a quick inventory of their garage they realized a pair of speakers and a tool kit had been stolen. The two items were worth approximately $160. Other than to say the perpetrator had on a white shirt, the couple could provide no better description and said they would not be able to identify him. Though they had a surveillance camera in the garage, it malfunctioned and did not record the incident. ....
