James Samuels, bass vocalist of The Aces who sang on Desmond Dekker's Israelites and 007 (Shanty Town), died on January 29 at age 78. He passed away at the St Ann's Bay Hospital fro.

The veteran broadcaster and theatre legend died at the University Hospital of the West Indies May 11. She was 87.
She wrote the radio drama Wrong Move, which aired on Radio Jamaic.
