WEST HARTFORD A minor earthquake hit the town early Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit around 1:15 a.m. and was measured at a 1.9 on the Richter scale.
The U.S. Geological Survey indicated the earthquake hit near Tunxis and Woodruff roads.
West Hartford Police Capt. Michael Perruccio said the department received “multiple calls” from residents reporting a loud noise and houses shaking. He said there were no reports of anyone hurt or property damage caused by the incident. ....

WEST HARTFORD Republican Town Council member Mary Fay described it as a “benign” comment left on a friend’s Facebook page before the protest that turned violent in Washington.
